Marketing Strategy: We created the theme, "The Contemporary Furniture Superstore" to deliver a stronger selection and value message. Each month, we developed a promotional event, communicated in a low-key way to generate traffic and to promote value. We eliminated print media in favor of radio and TV, to reach a younger market. Direct mail to the customer list was used more frequently.
Results: Sales growth of 15% per year and more.
