Challenge:
Sales were flat. How do we expand the market and motivate more people
to want Scandinavian furniture.

Strategy:
We staked out a new position for the company -- that of selling
modern furniture instead of just Scandinavian. Our intention was
to convert contemporary furniture shoppers into Dane Decor Shoppers.
We used humor to enhance the personality of the store and the shopping
experience.
Results:
Expansion of the Scandinavian furniture market to include contemporary
furniture shoppers increased traffic, leading to increased sales.
