Marketing Challenge: Bring the national Carpet One message to each of its 1300 retailers' local markets. Provide a monthly story about flooring that is completely customized with the local dealer's identity.
Marketing Strategy: We created a database of every Carpet One dealer. A template media release was customized with details about the local retailer and sent to the local media that reached his store.
Results: Local editors picked up several articles per year, yielding unprecedented coverage at a very efficient cost.
